Latch Baby-Illustrated Guide to Breastfeeding Success

Tracey Jedrzejek, MA, IBCLC

I was so impressed with how this book explains the basics of breastfeeding in a simple and concise way. This  illustrated guide, with clear images and easy to understand descriptions, really gives the reader a comprehensive look at beginning breastfeeding and maintaining a positive and successful breastfeeding relationship.  I recommend this book to every new mama and think it would be an excellent gift for anyone wanting to learn more about breastfeeding before baby arrives.  Even the dads and partners benefit from this book because it really is so easy to understand and offers suggestions on how to assist a breastfeeding mother.  Latch Baby is a one stop shop for the most parent friendly breastfeeding book I've ever come across.

Balancing Breast and Bottle

Amy Peterson BS, IBCLC & Mindy Harmer, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC

Written by a lactation consultant and a lactation informed speech therapist, this book outlines everything you need to know about breastfeeding and bottle feeding.  I've personally read this book cover to cover and reference it often during my own consults and classes.  If you've attended my pumping workshop, you'll remember that the bottle feeding video that I used was Amy Peterson's demonstration!  I cannot recommend this book enough if you plan to include bottle feeding in your breastfeeding journey.  The information is laid out in a format that makes sense and is easy to understand.  Balancing Breast and Bottle is an invaluable resource for the new parent or professional seeking evidenced based information.
